The same could also be said for the wonderful game of soccer. However the history of soccer is a bit difficult to find out about as there is somewhat a lack of documentation that can actually pin point where it started as a game without the Football Associations.
Here though we will try to identify some history of it and show you all about what is actually known about the history of soccer. The place to start our research is to look back approximately 3000 years ago where you can find evidence that some form of soccer was played.
There is also evidence that soccer or football was played in Japan around 1004 BC. Also it is rumored that there is a historical piece of text from china that says about the history of soccer in a game of soccer being played between China and Japan.

The History Of Soccer up to now...
At this point we can now see that there was in the history of soccer matches played between two neighboring countries, which would make that the first international football match EVER.
Thankfully the fog and mist of history are lifting and we begin to understand and see more of the modern game. Besides the pieces of historical evidence you have just learned we can find that there is a brief mention of soccer in a game being played in Kyoto, which at the time was the capital of Japan 611 AD.
These are believed to be the earliest recordings of soccer. From here we will move to England which is considered the home of modern day soccer and of which set the precedent within the sport.
According to the history of soccer there were kings and queens who regarded soccer as being somewhat of a vulgar game. It was for this reason that they tried quite a few times to have the game banned and impose stiff penalties such as imprisonment for playing the game, unfortunately for the King and Queen this did not quite work.
It is well know that Eton College in Windsor, England had designed some basic rules of soccer around 1815. These rules are thought of as the earliest signs of soccer being played as an organized game.
It was after this that soccer was then exported to other countries around the world and it has evolved since then into the game that we all know about and love. Today you can find soccer being played in virtually all parts of the world such is it's appeal as a sport.
The playing pitches may be different but the drive and sheer enthusiasm for the beautiful game is the same. When you look back at the history of soccer you can see that in many ways soccer is still played with the passion that our ancestors showed for it, if not more.
It is for this reason you can understand why soccer is able to travel so far in such a short space of time.
